Must have been difficult to write, but very interesting. I'm sure this takes a lot of courage to think about and to write. Blessings to you.

My husband is currently being evaluated for AS. I learned of your blog through another woman who's husband receives it and decided to look into it.

I've appreciated reading your posts and gaining an insight into at least 1 perspective of an AS man. You're charmingly funny and I can also see how you probably drive your dear wife absolutely nuts as my dh does me. But then again, we drive you pretty crazy too don't we?! lol

Thank you. This post was especially needed right now for it's lightheartedness and yet mini-view into an AS person's way of thinking.

How many AS people does it take to screw in a light bulb? 1 of course, why would you even ask?! ;)

Where I grew up in Edmonton (500 miles north of Great Falls, MT), the sun doesn't rise until nearly 9am and sets by 4pm during winter. That said, I have always LOVED wintertime and Christmas especially. I'm sure this has something to do with the near-total lack of clouds and the resulting brilliance of the sun at that latitude.

Actually, the WORST place I ever lived for S.A.D. was Vancouver, BC. Did you not find Tacoma rather depressing from November thru March?

Anyway, in my early 30s I discerned an annual emotional/mental "downturn" sometime in October/November. I think of this as some kind of a biorhythm artifact. Thankfully, fore-warned is fore-armed, and its effects have lessened with each passing year.

OMG, that is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see you both in person one of these days and hear you tell the story in person! I certainly hope there are pictures as well to show, though you wrote it so visually, I felt I was right there with you! Well. Only up through the hot tub experience of course! ;O)

Great--now there's a two-letter word to describe ME!? That is so typical of you ES-ers! And who says we NTs can't be aggressive? Huh? Why don't you come over HERE and say that?
